Profile – Saffron Walden Garden Designer

Hello, I’m Tarquin and after college I trained for a career in computing, but the growing feeling that this wasn’t where my heart lay led to a switch and I started working in the landscape industry in the early 1990’s.

I set up my own business  – TKE Landscaping – in 1995 and it flourished in building a great team and literally hundreds of quality gardens for homeowners in Essex, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire, as well as winning many awards in the Association for Professional Landscapers and at RHS shows.

Finding that many of our clients wanted to better understand their new garden layout before committing to the construction, I began offering them a computer based virtual reality 3D design service. This has developed into its own business, Saffron Garden Design, to run alongside the landscaping and means I can bring all of my creativity and practical knowledge from the last 30+ years and apply it to making sure our clients get a seamless service, from the first chat about what might be, through to the moment they can sit there enjoying it.

A nice place to be

Here are some gardens we have designed and built, for more see inspiration above.

“Dear Tarquin
The planting looks great. The shapes and choice of colour complete the landscaping transformation from a dull north facing scramble of stuff to a joy of brightness and space even at this dull end of November. Now look forward to seeing the first signs of Spring.

Many thanks to you and your team especially for coping with some atrocious weather conditions. “
